Partners and board members attended the first committee meeting on December 6 to discuss opportunities to collaborate on creating a long-term communications strategy. Communications strategists from Frank Creative presented previous work on a similar campaign for Friends of Trees. Participants saw visuals from this campaign and asked for clarifaction on the role our partner organizations will have in this campaign. Participants will reconvene once a month for approximately five months.

This long-term promotions strategy is designed to entice people to relax, play and have fun in the Portland – Vancouver region’s parks and trails.

To ensure this campaign reflects the diversity of our community, members discussed the importance of strengthening partnerships with organizations that support underrepresented communities, with an emphasis on culturally-specific organizations and health providers.
