Powell Butte Natural Area trail volunteer restoration event. Second Saturday of each month, 9:00 AM-noon (JAN-NOV). Join Portland Parks & Recreation, Hands On Portland, Friends of Powell Butte and other community members to perform needed restoration work on Powell Butte! Restoration projects include trail work, fence work, invasive species removal and other tasks. Please wear long pants and long sleeves, sturdy walking shoes, and bring a hat, raingear and water bottle. Plan to do a lot of walking, in addition to the project work! Tools, gloves, water and granola bars will be provided. Meet at: Gates Park @ SE 136th & Holgate Blvd. Turn east onto Holgate from SE 136th and follow to the parking lot. Group will likely be hiking quite a ways from the parking lot, so be on time to be sure to meet up with the group. Tri-met bus # 17.
