Summit Schedule

1:00 - 2:45: Workshop - Energizing Urban Forestry in Your Community. Want to turn a new leaf with your community's urban forestry program? Learn how from Sacramento's nationally recognized urban forestry hero Ray Tretheway as he joins local leaders in a lively discussion moderated by former senior NPR correspondent, Ketzel Levine. Plus, get your community in the pipeline for workshops and technical assistance that will strengthen your urban forestry programs.

2:45 - 3:00: Break

3:00 - 3:30: State of The Intertwine: Making the Case. From Hockinson Meadows to nine holes in Hillsboro, the first annual State of The Intertwine Report makes the case for investing in The Intertwine. Witness the debut of an exciting new tool for policymakers and civic leaders - just one way The Intertwine Alliance gets us on message to get the work done.

3:30 - 4:15: Promotions Campaign Debut. Engaging people with nature - that's a goal on which all our partners agree. David Karstad of Frank Creative shows us how our new campaign will help The Intertwine Alliance win hearts and minds - on street corners and civic agendas, in neighborhood parks and national forums.

4:15 - 4:45: 25 Years of Regional Greenspace Planning. Launched over beer one fine evening in June 2007, The Intertwine Alliance is the product of a greenspace movement 25 years in the making. Celebrate movement highlights - from the vision of the 1903 Olmsted Plan to the 1992 Greenspaces Master Plan - as we honor the movement's many leaders and toast The Intertwine Alliance's next 25 years.

4:45 - 6:00: Happy Hour
