This 8-acre park hosts an extensive system of meandering nature trails through natural upland forest and along forested wetland habits. Visitors have access to diverse plant live, a wide variety of trees, birds and other wild life.
This small park offers active recreation, with open lawn, children's play equipment, walking path, and a gazebo. The path accross Alex Brown bridge provides trail access to Salish Ponds Wetland park.
Stroll along a path, relax while the little ones climb on a 3 different play structures, then continue on to the creek. There is also a 1/2-court basketball court at the park. Englewood is a walker's park (approximately 2 miles of hard surface trail) with a variety of interesting things to see and do as you traverse the trails. The park is split into an east and west segment, but each can be accessed by a short walk on Ironwood Loop. Volunteers continue to enhance nearby wetland areas, which are home to numerous wildlife on a year-round basis.
Elk Rock Island is a part of an ancient volcano that erupted about 40 million years ago and can only be accessed via a land bridge when the river is low enough.
This site includes more than 1,000 acres of waterfront property along both banks of the East Fork Lewis River between Paradise Point State Park north of La Center and Daybreak Park north of Battle Ground. It is part of an interconnected, 10-mile greenway system.
The entire greenway is state-designated priority habitat for large concentrations of migratory waterfowl, wintering bald eagles, and features high-quality riparian habitat. Most of the greenway is open to the public, but is not developed. There are no formal park amenities.
Eagle Fern Park is the largest and one of the most beautiful parks in Clackamas County. Sunlight filters through immense groves of towering Western Red Cedar and Douglas Fir. Eagle Fern Park has one of the largest old growth timber stands around. This Cascade rain forest will constantly impress you with its natural beauty.
Young and old alike can find a secluded spot on Eagle Creek. The water is inviting and the fishing is excellent. Fishermen often go home with steelhead, Coho, Chinook or trout on the line.
Durham Park forms the eastern part of a relatively large open space which includes Tigard's more developed Cook Park and Tualatin's somewhat less developed Community Park. The site of the former Thomas Dairy is between Durham and Cook Park. Along the Tualatin River, Durham Park is a great place for birdwatching.
The park includes a horseshoe pit, soft-surface paths, picnic tables, a playground, a soccer field, and running track.
The Donald L. Robertson Park which is named after our former Mayor, is called the crown jewel of the City by some. The park features activities for all ages including a playground with toys for young and older children, basketball court, an open field area for soccer and baseball, and a nature trial that wonders through the entire park including our newly created wetland area.
Dogwood Park may be small, but the location, Milwaukie's Main Street, provides a pleasant view overlooking the river and makes the park a popular destination for lunch-hour picnickers.
