Address:

The Columbia Slough Watershed Council is looking for some Sloughper Heroes like yourself to help us out in the Columbia Slough Watershed! We have several volunteer opportunities: removing invasive weeds, picking up litter, maintaining plantings, flag new plants for visibility and plant native species within the Watershed.

A few Saturdays each month, staff from the Watershed and wonderful volunteers, get together, get their hands dirty and really make serious improvements on the Watershed. If you care about your environment, and want to have an awesome time volunteering, think about coming out! These Stewardship Saturdays, are a great time to learn more about the watershed that contains 170,000 people, 175 different species of birds, 26 species of fish and 28 different species of mammals!

Our Next stewardship Saturday is coming up soon! on October, 13th, from 9am to 12pm at 2420 Fairview Avenue, Fairview, OR 97024

Join Smith Memorial Presbyterian Church community members and Columbia Slough Watershed Council staff as they maintain a beautiful two-acre natural habitat area along Fairview Creek. This site has been under restoration for seven years and has seen dramatic improvements.Volunteer hands are needed to keep the English ivy, Himalayan blackberry, and other weeds at bay, however, so that this site can thrive. We will gather in the church parking lot to brief volunteers and distribute tools. Tools and refreshments will be provided.
