Help set a new Guinness World Record!

Last year, 936 people gathered at Hoyt Arboretum to set a Guinness World Record for tree hugging. This year, we're doing it again.

Bigger. Better. Huggier.

Who? You and your friends

When? July 12, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

What? Setting a Guinness World Record for the most people simultaneously hugging trees in one place!

And... Picnicking. Listening to live music. Playing games. Learning about the environment, sustainability, trees and more!

Why? Because Portland needs to show the world that we are the most tree hugging place around! Challengers have already attempted to break our tree hugging record, including Nepal who recently submitted a record for 2,000 tree huggers. We need to put this record out of reach of the rest of the world!

How? Pre-registration is encouraged. Please sign up at bit.ly/HoytHug2014
