The Columbia Children's Arboretum is truly one of Portland's most hidden and private inner city parks.  Please join Friends of Trees to help restore the area!  Arrive around 8:45am to be registered and assigned to a crew. The planting will start promptly at 9:00am. We provide breakfast snacks and hot chocolate/coffee, as well as gloves, tools and guidance. Please come dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy shoes and get ready to have fun!

In partnership with Portland OIC and Portland Parks and Recreation, Friends of Trees is helping to restore wetland banks in the Columbia Slough Watershed. Come plant native plants and help increase the water quality and habitat value in this part of NE Portland.

Join Friends of Trees to plant native trees and shrubs in Barrows Meadow!  Please arrive around 8:45am to be registered and assigned to a crew. The planting will start promptly at 9:00am. We provide breakfast snacks and hot chocolate/coffee, as well as gloves, tools and guidance. This area will be wet - please bring rubber boots if you have them!

This planting is part of the Tree for All event and is in conjunction with the City of Beaverton and Clean Water Services. This is our third year planting live stakes and bare root shrubs, restoring the riparian area along Summer Creek. The ambitious goal of Tree for All is to plant two million trees in the Tualatin River Valley in 20 years.

Continuing our effort to rehabilitate and stabilize the Fanno Creek riparian area, Friends of Trees will be planting near the same stream-side areas that we have worked in for the last three years. This planting is in conjunction with the City of Durham and Clean Water Services.

Friends of Trees is teaming up with the city of Tualatin and Clean Water Services as part of the ambitious Tree for All campaign. The goal of Tree for All is to plant two million trees in the Tualatin River basin in twenty years! This is the second year Friends of Trees has worked at Nyberg Creek and we are excited to build towards the goal of two million trees. This area is a wetland, please wear rubber boots if you have them!
