Recess Overview
Calling all Intertwine Pioneers. Help us share the region’s special outdoor places! The Intertwine Alliance in partnership with KEEN Footwear wants you to go for a Recess on The Intertwine this summer.
Your mission is to get outside, have a grand time exploring The Intertwine, and share your adventure with the community for a (really good) chance to win a colorful new pair of kicks.
We're selecting winners (while supplies last) to win a pair of KEEN shoes and have their adventure featured on The Intertwine website.
Contest Guidelines
• Tell us about the park or trail you love exploring around The Intertwine.
• Just send us 5-10 fun photos of your happy companions, wildlife or a beautiful view, and include a short description of your Adventure to feature on our website. Photos must be at least 400kb.
Some Fun Suggestions:
• Connect to an Intertwine partner event or a Friends-Of group such as: a tree planting, ivy pulling, guided nature/wildlife hike, bike tour, depaving, educational presentation or workshop

• Highlight green infrastructure elements found along your adventure such as: a rain garden, green-street, bioswale, green-roof, or a watershed restoration project
• Use multiple modes of transportation (bike, boat, bus) or go totally car-free
• Show us unique wildlife or attractions
How To Participate
• Download the Adventure contest form right HERE.
• Go explore The Intertwine with your friends and family, take some fun photos and write a description of your Adventure to help others discover great park(s), trail(s), natural area(s), or waterway(s).
• Email your Adventure form with photos to: info<AT>theintertwine.org
• Tip: Use the interactive map of The Intertwine to find an off-the-beaten-track park, trail or natural area to explore — to increase your chances of walking away in KEENS!
