Or learn ways you can actually help the environment in your Neighborhood? About two Saturdays a month, staff from the Council will travel to different sites around the watershed to do restoration and management of insavisve species, and we need as many volunteers as possible! On the 27th of October, we will be working at Smith Memorial Presbyterian Church helping to lay and spread mulch for the hedgerow and expanding the rain-garden. There is a lot of work to be done, so please come on out and join us on Saturday! Before hand, starting at 9 AM, East Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District will be hosting a naturscaping workshop focusing on using native plants and shrubs in your home garden.
