Happy fish make happy valleys!
Join SOLVE, the Clackamas River Basin Council, and Clackamas County Water Environment Services at "Discover Rock Creek", a work party and project celebration on December 6th from 9 am - 12 pm in Happy Valley.
Take advantage of the rare opportunity to explore this beautiful natural area around the Rock Creek Confluence, learn about recent habitat construction, and plant trees along the banks of the creek. During this special event, the Rock Creek Confluence natural area will be open to the public for the first time since habitat construction was completed.
At Discover Rock Creek, volunteers will visit restoration stations to learn about salmon habitat, water quality sampling, and urban wildlife, and will also help plant 500 native trees and shrubs, contributing to over 18,000 plants that will ultimately be installed along stream bank over the next year.
Please arrive at 8:45 am for registration and refreshments. Carpooling is recommended as parking may be limited. Wear outdoor clothing that can get dirty and dress for the weather. Rubber boots are strongly encouraged.
