United StatesHeron Pointe Wetland is degraded by the presence of an invasive grass:reed canary grass. Volunteers will be planting native willow, Oregon ash as well as naitve shrubs like douglas spirea. Volunteers will also be installing coffee bags as a weed barrier and mulching. Native plants will add needed biodiversity improving the overall health of the wetland.
