Oregon ZooAs The Intertwine Alliance explores utilizing the Collective Impact framework to advance our efforts, a key piece is making sure all voices in our community are heard. This fall’s Intertwine Summit will focus on equity, inclusion and developing the environmental leaders of tomorrow. This is not your dad's Intertwine summit! We'll hear directly from youth and young adults, including their perspectives on nature and its relevance to their lives present and future.

You’ll be part of a youth-led workshop exploring the importance of including diverse voices in our planning and program development. We'll hear how Intertwine Alliance partners are empowering young people to step into conservation leadership roles, infusing their organizations and programs with new energy. We'll examine the ways these perspectives are relevant to and can strengthen the work of Alliance partners.

Presenters will include The Intertwine Alliance’s Plant-Off! Team, Audubon’s Talon Program, the YESS Project of Mt. Hood Community College, Metro’s partnership with Self Enhancement Inc., the OakQuest Project and the Momentum Alliance.

In addition, we’ll announce the winners of this year’s Force of Nature Awards, recognizing exceptional individuals and organizations who have helped our region thrive. Nominations accepted through September 26. We need your help identifying the people and organizations that really deserve recognition.
