Do you want to get your hands dirty?  Make a difference in a few short hours?  Learn to plant trees and meet great people?  If so, join us in SE Portland on Saturday, April 9th!

Join us on the south side of Powell Butte Natural Area along the Johnson Creek floodplain to mulch native trees and shrubs and remove invasive species in partnership with the Johnson Creek Watershed Council and Portland Parks & Recreation with support from East Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District and Metro.

Friends of Trees is excited to partner with Friends of Fernhill Wetlands, the Fernhill Wetlands Council, and Clean Water Services to continue our restoration efforts at Fernhill Wetlands in Forest Grove. This planting is part of the Tree For All campaign which has planted over three million native plants in the Tualatin River Watershed in the past decade! Clean Water Services, Friends of Trees, thousands of volunteers, other non-profits, city partners, and private landowners will be working together this season to continue the success of this program.

Come on out on March 5th and be a part of Johnson Creek Watershed Council's "Watershed Wide Event." Come plant native trees and shrubs to help restore the Johnson Creek Watershed's native habitats, improve water quality and reduce the amount of stormwater entering the creek. Lunch will be provided at an afternoon celebration event. This project is in partnership with the Johnson Creek Watershed Council and the City of Gresham and is supported by the East Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District and Metro.

As part of the Rock Creek Partnership with SOLVE and the Clackamas River Basin Council, Friends of Trees is leading volunteer restoration events along the banks of Rock Creek and its tributaries. Rock Creek is a tributary to the Clackamas River and supports numerous species of wildlife, including salmonids. This project is supported with funding from Clackamas County Water Environment Services, on behalf of Clackamas Service District No. 1.

Join Johnson Creek Watershed Council, Friends of Tideman Johnson ,and a youth crew from Impact NW for a day of restoring habitat in this beautiful park. We will be removing invasive plants and spreading mulch to prepare for planting this winter. Join us for a day of hard work outdoors and friendly conversation. 

The work party will run from 9:00 am to 12:00pm. Volunteers are welcome to join our crew from  Impact NW and continue working until 2:00pm.
