Summer is here and so is ricefield bulrush pulling season! Invasive ricefield bulrush threatens wetland ecosystems by pushing out native plants necessary to wildlife habitat. Volunteers are the reason we have been able to contain and reduce ricefield bulrush on the Refuge, where we have the only known population in Washington. Volunteers get to work in areas typically closed to public use. Please waterproof shoes, and a waterbottle. Gloves and snacks will be provided.
