The Columbia Slough Watershed Council works to connect the community with the watershed through restoration, recreation and restoration in North and Northeast Portland. Join us for Stewardship Saturdays, our monthly restoration work parties at locations all around the watershed!

Celebrate Earth Day with us this April! We'll be partnering with Portland Parks and Recreation to remove invasive English ivy from the headwaters of Wilkes Creek. Managing these aggressive invasive weeds helps make sure that native plants have a chance to establish themselves. Wilkes Creek is a part of the Slough system, so it's protection helps advance the Council's mission to protect, enhance, restore and revitalize the Slough and its watershed.

This event runs rain or shine! Be sure to dress for the weather and bring water, rain gear and sturdy shoes. Snacks, tools, training and gloves will be provided. This opportunity is open to volunteers 16 years and older, unless accompanied by an adult. Volunteers under 18 should contact the Council for a special youth waiver.
