Volunteer with Columbia Springs as we strategically battle the invasive plant species invading our local forests! Help us turn the tide of the ecological war and insure this urban natural area is preserved in its best condition for the public to enjoy. All volunteers are welcome! Children with parental supervision and teens under 16 with parental permission. Snacks and tools provided. Join The Forest Park Conservancy for our biggest stewardship event of the season! This Spring Day of Stewardship, be one of 200 volunteers helping to restore native habitat in and around Forest Park. Invasive plant removal and native tree planting will be followed by food, drink and raffle prizes.

Help plant shurbs and remove invasives on the Refuge! This improves stream health and creates wildlife habitat. 

All work days are from 9 am to 12:30 pm rain or shine. Wear waterproof footwear, bring gloves, and dress for the weather. Light refreshments and hot drinks will be provided. All volunteers must sign a volunteer service agreement (if under 18 must be signed by parent or guardian) which can be found at: http://www.fws.gov/ridgefieldrefuges/ridgefield/getinvolved.html.

Help plant trees in critical riparian area on the Refuge! This helps mitigate invasive Reed canary grass and improves wildlife habitat.

The Washington Trails Association will be helping with these February workdays, which will be focused on rerouting the South Mill Trail.  Please bring gloves shovels and a friend. :)
