Come join Portland Fruit Tree Project for a Winter Pruning workshop this Saturday Feb 22nd or Sunday Feb 23rd! These are our last 2 Winter Pruning workshops of 2014.
Winter Pruning
In this hands-on workshop you will learn the basics of winter pruning in order to increase the health and abundance of local fruit trees! This fun workshop will be an opportunity to gain a basic understanding of the different types of pruning cuts and when these cuts should be used. You'll also be able to gain some practice pruning under skilled supervision.

About the instructor:
Bruce Nelson: Bruce is an entomologist, arborist, organic gardener and long- time backyard fruit grower in the Cully neighborhood. He holds a Bachelors degree in African Studies from University of Pennsylvania and Masters degree in Entomology from Washington State University. He has been a Horticulture instructor at Clackamas Community College since 1998.
