Food Preservation Workshop: Drying Fruit and Fruit Leathers
Wednesday November 7th, 7-9pm
Drying is a great way to make fruit last throughout the seasons, while retaining nutrients that can be lost during canning. In this workshop, we will learn how to make economical dried fruit and fruit leathers for lunchboxes, backpacking and hiking, using a home dehydrator. Drying fruit is a perfect technique for people with limited storage space and time. This fun workshop will be an opportunity to walk through the processes, and take home some delicious samples!Class fee: $25 (Scholarships available!)
