Dig in with SOLVE this year at restoration and cleanup sites across the Portland-metro area. Get your hands dirty planting native trees, removing invasive species, and helping restore critical habitat for native plants and wildlife. Over time, this work will improve water quality, create wildlife habitat, and store carbon to slow climate change.
These are family-friendly events. Plus, it's a great way to earn community service hours. Project dates and times will vary and events happen rain or shine. All tools, gloves, and supplies will be provided.
Join us on February 23rd for the Rock Creek Watershed Wide Event.
Join the Rock Creek Partnership on Saturday, March 16th in Happy Valley for its second annual Watershed Wide Event! We'll be removing invasive vegetation and planting native trees and shrubs at three streamside sites to help improve the water quality in the Rock Creek basin and we'd love your help. No experience is necessary and we welcome families, neighbors and friends! There will be live music, a bevy of breakfast and lunch goodies, and raffle prizes for all planting volunteers! The staging site will once again be the Galaxy Barn at Pendarvis Farm - site of the renowned Pickathon Music Festival. The event will begin promptly at 9:00am, so we ask for everyone to arrive by 8:45am to the staging site to get registered and assigned to a crew, as well as to enjoy hot coffee and breakfast treats. The event will wrap-up around 1:00pm. This is a popular event and space is limited. Please pre-register. Click the Register Now button above.
