Join the Estuary Partnership for a family friendly canoe paddle on the Willamette River to learn about birds. Participants paddle two 34' canoes across the river and into Holgate Channel behind the Ross Island complex. This no-wake zone provides the perfect venue for wildlife observations and enjoying nature in the city. Paddlers often spot Great Blue Herons, osprey, Bald Eagles, water fowl and songbirds. Two Estuary Partnership staff will be on each canoe to steer, offer paddling advice, and share information about the Willamette River ecosystem.
