Mark your calendar! - the 21st annual Children's Clean Water Festival is scheduled for Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the University of Portland campus.
We're looking for 90 volunteers to help at this fantastic event from 7:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This event brings more than 1,400 local 4th and 5th grade students to the University of Portland campus to learn about water science, watershed ecology, and the vital role water plays in our everyday lives. No experience needed - training (and free continental breakfast and lunch!) will be provided at the festival.
Volunteer roles include:
1. Class Guide. You will help guide a class around campus to their scheduled activities (presentations, stage shows, and exhibits). Teachers and chaperones remain with your class throughout the festival.
2. General Festival Volunteer. This is "behind-the-scenes" work that allows the festival to run smoothly - setting out signs, directing traffic, assisting with lunch distribution, etc.
It's fun and easy! To sign-up, simply register at our new website: http://www.cleanwaterfestival.org/volunteers/volunteer-registration/
