United StatesThe Columbia Slough Watershed Council is happy to be celebrating Earth Day with Portland Parks and Recreation and SOLVE! Celebrate with us by helping remove invasive English Ivy from the Wilkes Creek headwaters. English Ivy out competes native plant species for resources like light and water, but once it is under control we can start to actively restore this valuable headwater ecosystem. No experience is necessary, just a desire to get your hands dirty!
This event runs rain or shine. Be sure to dress for the weather and bring water, rain gear and sturdy shoes. Snacks, tools, training and gloves will be provided. This is a great event for groups and individuals. Registration requested.
