In 1984, Oregon was home to the first statewide volunteer beach cleanup in the world! 30 years later volunteers are still going strong and your support is as important as ever. This year alone there are an estimated 50,000 pounds of debris at our project sites to be collected and several areas in need of watershed restoration work. Only you can ensure our beaches, rivers and natural areas are kept clean and healthy.
Unsure of where to go? There are 47 coastal projects and over 60 inland sites to choose from! Follow this link for a list of sites by region with the fewest volunteers and the most to do -http://www.solveoregon.org/solve-beach-riverside-cleanup

Title: Are you looking for a way to put your wheels in motion? Volunteer as a monthly SOLVE Transport Assistant!
Text: Once a month SOLVE has a need for the pick up and delivery of coffee bag totes to stream corridor restoration sites. The totes are large cloth bags that contain approximately 300 coffee bags that are installed by volunteers around native plants as natural weed barriers. The totes are picked from a location in NE Portland and delivered to one or two sites located around the Portland Metro area. Volunteers will need a medium to large pick-up. Mileage will be reimbursed. Deliveries usually take between 1 and 3 hrs and start between 9 am and 10:45, Mondaythrough Friday. Sign up for the month that fits your schedule best or for several!
