Join us every Wednesday from noon - 1 pm for Lunch with the Birds! Bring binoculars and a field guide if you have them. A few pairs of loaner binoculars are available. We meet rain or shine and spend our time outside. This event is free for all ages and you do not need to pre-register.  All five April dates (1, 8, 15, 22, 29) are held at Dairy Creek Park, 515 SW 17th Avenue, Hillsboro, OR.  Migrant song birds will be arriving all month and certainly stopping by this beautiful riparian forest.  Directions:  Turn south off of Highway 8 (SW Baseline Street) on SE 17th Ave.  This at the traffic light at the west end of  the WinCo Foods store parking lot.  SE 17th curves to the left and becomes SW Walnut.  Just before this happens, turn right into small parking lot.  Meet at the gazebo.

Venue:
Dairy Creek Park
Venue Details:
This 24-acre neighborhood park includes a developed portion and a large natural area. In 1988, the City received a donation of approximately 15 acres of floodplain property on Dairy Creek. Subsequently, through donation and purchase, additional parcels were added so the park now provides eighteen acres of natural area and six acres of park area. Construction of the park started in June 2003 and finished with a dedication celebration on May 11, 2005. The park has an open and inviting feel, with a variety of features set against the backdrop of woodland in the creek corridor. Paved paths provide easy access throughout the park and soft-surface pathways provide access to the natural area along the creek. The park can be accessed via two entrances located on along SW Walnut Avenue. An accessible restroom is available.
