Annual Invasive Plant Species Survey at Columbia Springs

Become a scientist for the day at Columbia Springs! Learn about invasive species and scientific survey techniques, go off-trail at a 100-acre natural area, help us measure the abundance of species like English Ivy, and contribute to the management of this popular wildlife and recreation site at our annual Invasive Species Survey! Training and snacks are provided. Volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome, including children under 14 with parent or guardian supervision and teens under 16 with parent or guardian permission. Please bring sturdy shoes, appropriate outdoor work clothing, a water bottle, and your enthusiasm for helping the community! Walk-ins are welcome, but pre-sign up is encouraged.
