Show your LOVE for the Clackamas watershed at the annual Valentine for Deep Creek event! Join the Clackamas River Basin Council and Boring-Damascus Grange for an Ivy Pull at the Deep Creek Annex site, home to a Shade Our Streams restoration project. Our mission: to search and destroy. Our target: all English ivy choking newly planted and established native trees from thriving. Should you choose to accept: join us Saturday, January 31st from 9 am - noon. This opportunity will self-destruct: immediately after the event so sign up today! Good luck volunteers and see you there!! P.S. This is a family friendly event, includes one group hug. And enjoy a free homemade lunch at noon provided by our friends at the Boring-Damascus Grange on Grange Street. --SHADE OUR STREAMS is a multi-year community tree planting project to improve water quality in the Clackamas River Basin. We will plant more than 450,000 native plants over 6 years along 30 stream miles, restoring streamside habitat along the streams that need the most help - those areas that lack healthy habitats and are overrun with invasive weeds. Activities include: Invasive Plant Removal, Maintenance & Monitoring.
