United StatesWe'll be removing invasive English ivy from the headwaters of Wilkes Creek. Managing these aggressive invasive weeds helps make sure that native plants have a chance to establish themselves. Wilkes Creek is a part of the Slough system, so its protection helps advance the Council's mission to protect, enhance, restore and revitalize the Slough and its watershed.
This event runs rain or shine! Be sure to dress for the weather and bring water, rain gear and sturdy shoes. Snacks, tools, training and gloves will be provided. This opportunity is open to volunteers 16 years and older, unless accompanied by an adult. Volunteers under 18 should contact the Council for a special youth waiver.
