United StatesButternut Creek is home to beaver, kingfishers, lamprey, and native fish. Volunteers will be planting native willow, ash and native shrubs like douglas spirea. Native vegetation provides needed shade, prevents erosion, and supports native fish and wildlife. Volunteers will be planting, installing coffee bags as a weed barrier, mulching, and erecting beaver cages around native trees.
