“Leveraging the Regional Conservation Strategy to Advance your Work”
Attendees learned how Clean Water Services, the Forest Park Conservancy, and Metro are implementing The Intertwine's Regional Conservation Strategy; previewed a new GIS habitat data viewer; and explored, with Glenn Lamb of the Columbia Land Trust, how RCS data could support some big projects going forward.
- “Honing Your Message and Strengthening your Brand: How to Better Connect with your Diverse Constituents”
Following a presentation from David Karstad of Frank Creative, attendees gleaned insights on how to reach a range of marketing demographics from Brighton West of Friends of Trees, Sarah Prince of Grady Britton, Victoria Lara of Lara Media, and Instrument's Chris Mele.

The Intertwine's 2013 Fall Summit officially kicked off with a presentation from Bobby Cochran, Executive Director of the Willamette Partnership.
Partner Spotlights
- Renee Myers of the Forest Park Conservancy updated Summit attendees on the November unveiling of the Greater Forest Park Conservation Initiative;
- Nick Hardigg of the Portland Parks Foundation recruited attendees for Parke Diem -- "the largest-ever park-supporting event" in city history;
- The NW Earth Institute's Liz Zavodski encouraged attendees to choose their 2013 EcoChallenge; and
- Johnson Creek Watershed Council's Matt Clark shared plans for an interpretive boardwalk project at the future SE Tacoma St./Johnson Creek MAX station.
Intertwine Update
- Executive Director Mike Wetter discussed recent progress on Alliance initiatives, and offered a peek into the future -- including a national event to be held here in 2015, in partnership with the Metropolitan Greenspaces Alliance.
