The 3.5-mile Peninsula Crossing Trail crosses the North Portland peninsula between the Willamette and Columbia rivers. The paved pedestrian and bike path connects neighborhoods to workplaces, schools and the natural areas Willamette Cove and Smith and Bybee Wetlands.
This park hosts the Police Activities League center, and has a playground, walking paths, a baseball field, a soccer field, and forested areas.
Park Cleone is a community park located in Old Town Fairview at the end of 213th and 214th streets. This park hosts some unique features including a raised boardwalk leading to a pavilion overlooking a small, spring and stormwater fed creek and is the location of the Community Garden.
Paradise Point State Park is an 88-acre camping park with 6,180 feet of freshwater shoreline, immediately east of the interstate. Named for its original peacefulness, the park has lost some of its reputation for quiet since the I-5 freeway was built. Still, the area possesses great natural beauty, and the noise of I-5 can be avoided by using the woodland campsites. The park has nearly two miles of new trails winding through a wooded area and a meadow, and is a good place to spot birds. The park also features a new 7-acre, nine-hole disc golf course built in 2012.
Located within the wild and scenic Sandy River Gorge, Oxbow Regional Park offers rare access to many of the region’s natural wonders while providing a variety of unique recreational opportunities. The river draws swimmers, rafters, kayakers and drift boats carrying anglers.
This 21-acre community park provides unique recreation and wildlife viewing opportunities. A 1/2-mile paved path leads through open and wooded natural areas with viewpoints, boardwalks and bridges over Rock Creek. Benches are provided throughout the park along the paved pathway. The playground - with climbing boulder - and nine-hole disc golf course offer a range of options for active play.

Portland's first official urban wildlife refuge, Oaks Bottom is a 170 acre complex of meadows, woodlands and wetlands on the east bank of the Willamette River just north of the Sellwood Bridge. The refuge is the largest remaining natural area within the lower Willamette River floodplain and provides important habitat for fish and wildlife, including threatened salmon and over 175 bird species.
