Learn to build your own rain garden! A rain garden is a sunken garden bed that captures stormwater and allows it to soak back into the ground naturally. Part of a larger effort to reduce stormwater runoff and pollution from entering local waterways, this workshop provides step-by-step details on how to decide the best size & placement, which plants to choose, and how to build and maintain your new rain garden. Join thousands of volunteers to clear the entire Oregon coast of wayward trash. Dress for rain or shine, bring a resuable water bottle, a reusable bag or bucket, and an old colander for sifting the tidelines for small pieces of plastic. Be safe! Avoid logs in the water and marine mammals, and never turn your back to the ocean! Hauling, disposal and recycling services donated by Dahl Disposal and Lincoln County.
