Join volunteers for this monthly First Saturday Cleanup in Slabtown. Pick up litter in the area. Coffee & tea provided by New Seasons Market. Drop in for our regular Saturday 'freelance' work parties to become a steward of our beloved natural area: Forest Park! Volunteer Freelancers will take a short hike to one of our various sites and work off-trail removing English ivy. This is a DIRTY job so come prepared in grubby, long-sleeved clothing and boots. We'll provide gloves, tools and snacks.Volunteers will meet at the Lower Macleay field house located at 2960 NW Upshur St. Activities include: Invasive Plant Removal.

The theme for this quarter's forum is Conservation Priority Info Exchange.

It'll be a classic information-sharing event. We're asking organizations to come prepared to give a 3-minute (preferred) to 5-minute (maximum) overview of program priorities for the next 1 to 3 years, beginning with work planned to start this July 1. Our hope is that this will help organizations find partners with similar interests far enough in advance to budget money and staff time appropriately. 

If you plan to attend and would like to present, we ask that you RSVP, since time is limited. If you prefer to submit priorities only, via a written document, that is acceptable, too; we will compile the information and post it on the website.

The quarterly Conservation Forum is a project of The Conservation Working Group, which connects practitioners in conservation fields and launches projects based on the Regional Conservation Strategy.

#VancouverVolunTEEN is a community service effort inspiring teens ages 14 - 19 in Clark County to give back their time, earn volunteer requirements for graduation and meet new people. 

RSVP in advance or simply show up on the day of the event. Youth under 18 must bring a minor consent form and wear long pants and closed toed shoes.
