In this hands-on workshop you will learn the basics of winter pruning in order to increase the health and abundance of local fruit trees! This fun workshop will be an opportunity to gain a basic understanding of the different types of pruning cuts and when these cuts should be used. You'll also be able to gain some practice pruning under skilled supervision.

About the instructor:
Jim Wentworth-Plato:  I am a Board Certified Master Arborist living in Northeast Portland with a few apples, grapes, raspberries and blueberries on my property. I've pruned trees professionally the last 17 years with Emerald Tree. I help people of all ages understand the interactions within our environment, and how we alter it, for better and worse.
