January 2015 -- The Intertwine Alliance is launching an equity program to help our partners start or advance their inclusion and diversity work. We're forming a cohort of 8 to 10 partner organizations to meet once a month for 8 months, starting in February, to apply an equity lens to organizational policies/practices and create a supportive learning community.
The program will be facilitated by PSU Professor Ann Curry-Stevens and the Coalition of Communities of Color, who will guide the cohort through an organizational assessment and provide development in the following areas:
- Leadership Roles & Equity Policies
- Creating an Ongoing Equity Committee
- Navigating Resistance
- Data Systems
- Disparity Identification
- Hiring & Human Resources
- Program Design
- Partnership Practices
- Equity Action Planning
Interested? Think you might want to participate? Meet the facilitators at an information session on January 12, 2015, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Room 622 of PSU's Academic and Student Recreation Center, 1800 SW 6th Ave. Or read more about the program here.
Applications will be available at the information session, or get one from Kevin Le at kevin@theintertwine.org. Please contact us with any questions, or to let us know you'll be attending the meeting.
