Friends of the Tualatin Hills Nature Park sponsor this event with proceeds going toward future park improvements and environmental education programs. Come by the Nature Park Interpretive Center in the weeks before the plant sale to pick up trilliums and other early blooming wildflowers.

Spend MLK Day on the Refuge planting native trees in critical riparian habitat! All work days are from 9 am to 12:30 pm rain or shine. Wear waterproof footwear, bring gloves, and dress for the weather. Light refreshments and hot drinks will be provided. Plant Trees along the I-205 Multi-Use Path in NE Portland with Friends of Trees!

This is our first event along the I-205 Multi-Use Path this season -- please join us! Please arrive around 8:45am to allow time for a short walk to the planting area and to be registered and assigned to a crew. The planting will start promptly at 9:00am. We provide breakfast snacks and hot chocolate/coffee, as well as gloves, tools and guidance. Please come dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy shoes and get ready to have fun!

 

We will be planting a few replacement trees and re-mulching previously planted trees. We are very excited to continue reforesting the transportation corridor that runs from the Columbia River in the North to the City of Gladstone in the south.

 

Metro, ODOT, BES and EMSWCD are partnering with Friends of Trees to increase livability, habitat and air quality along the I-205 corridor.

Join us to plant trees and remove invasive weeds in our watershed! Volunteering is a great way to get to know our area, meet new people, and get some exercise while helping out our streams. You'll be provided with tools, gloves, and water. Please bring a water bottle, dress for the weather, and wear closed-toed shoes or boots. All events start at 9:00 a.m. and end at noon, unless otherwise noted.
