Heron Pointe Wetland is degraded by the presence of an invasive grass:reed canary grass. Volunteers will be planting native willow, Oregon ash as well as naitve shrubs like douglas spirea. Volunteers will also be installing coffee bags as a weed barrier and mulching. Native plants will add needed biodiversity improving the overall health of the wetland.

Join neighbors and friends for a fall neighborhood clean-up of the Pearl District! Volunteers meet at Peet's Coffee to check in, receive a free cup of coffee, get a street assignment, pick up supplies, and head out into the neighborhood to pick up litter. After the event, volunteers turn in supplies and receive a treat as recognition for their clean-up efforts. Stick around for a special bike raffle! All supplies are provided, such as safety vests, gloves, trash pickers, brooms, trash bags, etc. Just register for the event online, show up, and be prepared to have a fun time! Check-in starts at 8:30 AM. Teams leave at 9 AM and meet in the northern Pearl at 11:30 AM. The event will happen rain or shine - be sure to dress for the weather. Minors under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult. Polish the Pearl is a bi-annual event organized by the Pearl District Neighborhood Association (PDNA) Livability and Safety Committee.

Join volunteers for this monthly Third Saturday Cleanup in Northwest Portland. Pick up litter and remove graffiti in the area. Join us for some coffee and conversation afterward. The City of Seaside, Seaside Downtown Development Association, and Beach Drive Buccaneers invite you to join with us in cleaning up marine debris on our favorite Oregon Beach. Organized cleanups will take place, rain or shine, the first Saturday of every month. Sign in at The Seashore Inn on the Beach, 60 N. Prom, Seaside, get your bag, and, when done, drop it in a trash receptacle along the Prom. Stay the day and enjoy our shops and restaurants.
