Come on Down by the Riverside to collect litter from Albany's waterways. We will remove English Ivy from trees to help restore this riparian area. A free pizza celebration will end this day of volunteer service. Activities include: Invasive Plant Removal, Litter Cleanup.

Come help beautify Old Town Chinatown. Join in the fun with neighbors and community members in cleaning and beautifying the tree wells and street-scapes within Old Town/Chinatown! Activities include: Invasive plant removal, litter cleanup, maintenance and monitoring and spreading mulch. Lunch will be served!

Visitors can enjoy bird, plant and nature tours and presentations by regional experts who will share fun facts and information about Southwest Washington's unique ecoregion. Archeologist-led walks will follow in the footsteps of Native Americans and Lewis & Clark to notable sites within
the refuge. These include a visit to a replica of a Cathlapotle plankhouse built by hand using ancient techniques
and tools. A traditional salmon bake will be held Sunday afternoon with complimentary samplings.
Children's activities in downtown Ridgefield will include the Audubon Society Live bird show and birds on display,
craft stations, games, a storytelling tent and more. Special offerings on both days include guided kayak and canoe tours, a night hike, Kiwa Trail tour and the spectacular sandhill crane tours at dawn and dusk. These tours are offered on a limited basis and fill quickly, with reservations and fees required. Visitors can also get an early start on Christmas shopping. An expanded birders' marketplace will offer great buys
on garden items, pottery, art, photography, birdhouses, clothes, books and other items. Food booths will be open
throughout the weekend.
 

Birdfest and Bluegrass is a non-profit festival hosted by Friends of the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge to encourage
appreciation for the wonders of nature and this special wildlife refuge.

Join the Weed Warrior effort to restore a healthy habitat at Mt. Tabor Park. The Weed Warrior Stewardship Coordinator and volunteer crew leaders will share their knowledge of the natural habitat, demonstrate how to remove non-native vegetation, and help keep us organized, safe and motivated! We will make sure that you are comfortable and contribute in ways that match your skills and interests. Wear comfortable clothes that are appropriate for working in natural areas: long pants, long sleeves, brimmed hat to protect from sun/rain, and closed-toe sturdy shoes. Bring a water bottle. We provide you with tools, gloves, and snacks. Activities include: Invasive Plant Removal, Litter Cleanup.

Partner with THPRD & Unity Church of Beaverton to restore the natural areas of A.M. Kennedy Park. Efforts to restore this site began in 2010 and volunteers have made major progress. Come check out past accomplishments and help move the bar even higher! Activities include: Invasive Plant Removal.
