Team up with Resources for Health to build trails, remove invasive blackberry, and plant native trees in the woods of Evergreen Park! This project is part of an ongoing effort since our group adopted the park in 2010 to replace destructive monoculture with native plants and make trails more inviting for the community to enjoy. Activities include: Invasive Plant Removal, Litter Cleanup, Trail Maintenance.

We need your help! The area beneath the I-5 freeway near NW Glisan needs some litter picking attention. Much trash gets blown in near NW Naito & Waterfront Park. The work area is a triangle, the sides being NW Broadway, NW Glisan, and NW Naito Parkway. Activities include: Litter Cleanup.

In this event we will be cleaning up trash along the streets in the Mill Park neighborhood area. We will begin at Floyd Light City Park at the end of SE Yamhill St, and our coverage from there will be between SE Alder St and SE Salmon St, and SE 111th St and 117th St. Since this event takes place the day after Halloween, families and children are encouraged to participate in the cleanup in their Halloween costumes! At the end of the event we plan on holding a costume contest for the kids (with prizes!). This goal of this cleanup is not only to pick up candy wrappers and other trash, but to create connections between residents of this neighborhood and provide a fun, helpful activity for kids and adults alike. Join the Weed Warrior effort to restore a healthy habitat at Mt. Tabor Park. The Weed Warrior Stewardship Coordinator and volunteer crew leaders will share their knowledge of the natural habitat, demonstrate how to remove non-native vegetation, and help keep us organized, safe and motivated! We will make sure that you are comfortable and contribute in ways that match your skills and interests. Wear comfortable clothes that are appropriate for working in natural areas: long pants, long sleeves, brimmed hat to protect from sun/rain, and closed-toe sturdy shoes. Bring a water bottle. We provide you with tools, gloves, and snacks. Activities include: Invasive Plant Removal, Litter Cleanup.

Join neighbors and friends for a fall neighborhood clean-up of the Pearl District! Volunteers meet at Peet's Coffee to check in, receive a free cup of coffee, get a street assignment, pick up supplies, and head out into the neighborhood to pick up litter. After the event, volunteers turn in supplies and receive a treat as recognition for their clean-up efforts. Stick around for a special bike raffle! All supplies are provided, such as safety vests, gloves, trash pickers, brooms, trash bags, etc. Just register for the event online, show up, and be prepared to have a fun time! Check-in starts at 8:30 AM. Teams leave at 9 AM and meet in the northern Pearl at 11:30 AM. The event will happen rain or shine - be sure to dress for the weather. Minors under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult. Polish the Pearl is a bi-annual event organized by the Pearl District Neighborhood Association (PDNA) Livability and Safety Committee.
