Each year thousands of volunteers head out to the beach to clear the entire Oregon coastline of litter and marine debris. On March 28th, you can be part of this monumental effort, celebrating 30 years of teamwork between coastal communities, volunteers, local haulers, sponsors and more.
Under the cover of darkness, hunt for beavers, owls, and other nighttime creatures. The full moon (and Council staff) will lead the way through the braided network of Slough channels. Bring your own boat, or sign up to reserve one of our canoes or kayaks for your party.

Bring your bike and your friends for a tour of Portland's Columbia South Shore Well Field! Experts from the Portland Water Bureau and the Columbia Slough Watershed Council will lead this 16-mile trip on easy terrain.
On May 30, 1948 at 4:17pm a levee burst and the Columbia River flooded Vanport City, once the second-largest city in Oregon. This tour features speakers, three sites with public art and informational signs and sharing by Vanport families and historians.
Bring the whole family for a safe and fun canoe trip on the slow-moving Columbia Slough! We'll have some canoes set up in a "bimaran" configuration - this setup is safe for new paddlers, infants and grandparents alike.
