Campers will spend the day exploring and learning about nature at Columbia Springs with songs, games, and more. They will bring home plenty of nature-inspired memories and crafts including their own birdhouse, homemade paper, and model bug! Nature Nuts is for children entering 1st-3rd grade.
Session 1: July 27-31, 9am to 1pm
Session 2: August 17-21, 9am to 1pm

Has your child ever dissected an owl pellet? Built a robot from recycled materials? Or tasted cattail, a wetland plant? At Going Green Summer Camp, your child will explore, forage, play, and learn about sustainability and the natural world through hands-on activities and crafts. A special field trip to a local recycling center will wow your child with the power of recycling.
Going Green is for children entering 4th-6th grade. $169 per camper. Register now at columbiasprings.org!

Bring Mom to the Refuge this Mother's Day!
1:pm
Take a hike with the Refuge's Park Ranger Josie Finley to explore the Oaks to Wetlands Trail, and discover the relationships that wildlife mom's at the Refuge have with their babies.
12pm - 4pm:
Visit the Cathlapotle Plankhouse to connect with Lower Columba River Chinookan Native culture. Volunteers will be on hand to give tours and answer questions, and at 2pm, there is a special presentation by Pat Courtney Gold titled "Native Woman's View fo Lewis and Clark".
All Day:
Take a lap around the Auto Tour Route on the River 'S' Unit for some excellent wildlife watching and photography opportunities, and take a walk along the newly opened Kiwa trail to experience Spring at the Refuge in all it's glory.
