Join wild food expert John Kallas in a walk through several habitats within Mt Tabor Park, learn essentials of wild food use and study, the best books, resources, and field guides. Be a successful forager early on, sample plants, get expert advice. This core workshop provides a deeper understanding for all other workshops. Join WTA for a 1/2 day of giving back to trails. We're offering a series of morning events aimed at engaging more youth and families in near-town stewardship projects. But the "Young at Heart" are welcome too! This crew will be constructing a new trail that will meander between Vancouver Lake and Buckmire Slough.

The tree care event is focused on mulching native trees and shrubs planted in February and will start promptly at 9:00am. We provide breakfast snacks and hot chocolate/coffee, as well as gloves, tools and guidance. Please come dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy shoes and get ready to have fun! Address/Directions to Deep Creek Annex -

From the east: Travel eastbound on Highway 212 into Boring, turn right onto Richey Road at the stoplight at the Shell Station. Proceed approximately 1/10th of a mile down the road, and turn right into the gated parking lot.

From the west: Travel westbound on Highway 212 and pass through downtown Boring. Turn left at the second stoplight at the Shell Station. Proceed approximately 1/10th of a mile down the road, and turn right into the gated parking lot.

Boring Grange: Located on Grange Street, one block off Hwy 212.
