It's an easy, fun way to get outside, meet your neighbors, and make a difference by cleaning up litter and marine debris, removing invasive plants, or planting native trees and shrubs at project sites along the entire coast and across the state. Join us for free urban nature adventures every third Wednesday, February through November (except April and July)! Each guided "hike" will consist of an easy walk or tour with a theme, appropriate for all ages. February's theme: the fish hatchery. Join us for a hands-on, behind-the-scenes look of how we raise trout, steelhead, and salmon! All ages are welcome! No registration required. Join Friends of Trees and other awesome volunteers like you as we build communities and plant trees in West Vancouver on Saturday, February 20th!

We are planting in all West Vancouver Neighborhoods, including: Arnada, Carter Park, Edgewood Park, Fourth Plain Village, Fruit Valley, Hough, Lincoln, Northwest, Rose Village, Shumway.

Please arrive to the staging site by 8:45am to enjoy some FREE hot coffee, hot cocoa, tea, and breakfast treats. The planting starts promptly at 9:00am. We provide gloves and tools, so all you need to do is show up dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy shoes. Our neighborhood volunteers will also provide a potluck lunch for all volunteers after the planting is complete!

Looking to volunteer as a group? RSVPs are kindly requested for groups of more than 5 people - click HERE to do so. RSVPs are not required for individuals or groups of 4 or fewer -- you can simply show up!

The City of Seaside, Seaside Downtown Development Association, and Beach Drive Buccaneers invite you to join with us in cleaning up marine debris on our favorite Oregon Beach. Organized cleanups will take place, rain or shine, the first Saturday of every month. Sign in at The Seashore Inn on the Beach, 60 N. Prom, Seaside, get your bag, and, when done, drop it in a trash receptacle along the Prom. Stay the day and enjoy our shops and restaurants.

Day 1 of a 2-Day Training Session. Why should you become a Volunteer Lead? "I became a Lead because I believe strongly in the importance of educating ourselves and the next generation about the need to care for our environment. Columbia Springs is a hidden gem right here in our own backyard and it is a pleasure sharing it with others!" says Ellen, a veteran Volunteer Lead at Columbia Springs. Volunteer Leads receive training, rewards, and access to exclusive events including talks with local experts about various environmental topics. Leads are required to attend both 2/3 and 2/4 training and contribute 20 hours of volunteer service to Columbia Springs.  Volunteer service can be helping at field trips, events, restoration work parties, and more.
